Coldskins[edit]

There exists a race called coldskins who dwell in the cold. There exist those not wholly of their race which are said to be more attuned to the powers of frost rather than weaponry or anything else.

Physical Description[edit]

These coldskins are humanoids that usually can seem a bit more bloated or expanded, since matter expands when solidified in frost. They are actually a bit lighter than regular coldskins. They have skin that looks frozen, often covered in snow crystals. If those melt, they appear to have a body made of bluish, opaque ice, like lake ice. Their eyes look like ice as well but the pupil and iris are often a lighter color. Some have said a staring contest reveals there are subtle lights in their heads that shine out through the eyes. These coldskins sport no body hair of any kind. Under their external visage is a rather fragile body formed and kept together by an internal frost maker, believed to be a magic core of sorts embedded in their very souls.

History[edit]

Coldskins are said to form from humans who absorbed the energies of Frostfell. These variant coldskins are humans who died in Frostfell, possibly attempting to become coldskins or having wandered in by accident. Their bodies are reanimated so they may resemble regular coldskin, since they were originally human. However, they supposedly have completed iced skin and are hard to the touch. They are more "hollow" than regular coldskin, as people describe it. Whatever humanity or emotion seems to be gone when they died and were resurrected by the cold.

Society[edit]

These variant coldskin rarely every convene, possibly due to their removed disposition. They are known to roam Frostfell and possibly attack those who may show themselves hostile to the plane. Otherwise, they are said to roam about peacefully through blizzards like cattle. They are able to speak, according to those who have seen them, but they are very bland. Since they rarely ever leave Frostfell, they have little subjects to conjecture about except ice and snow. They reportedly lack any humor and act as if they were never human.

Coldskin Names[edit]

This coldskin variant rarely ever uses names but will sometimes come up with a quick address. Usually, it's the same thing; always what is around them or in their heads at the moment. Ice.

Male: Ice, Snow, Icicle

Female: Snowflake, Snow Flower, Permafrost
