An 8 inch tall pink marshmellow looks at you with an innocent face. Actaully, it's all face, almost perfectly round with stubby limbs. It smiles, and puts on its chef's hat, ready to whip up a meal.

Chef Homunculi are creatures created by the spell Ell's Handy Homunculus. They are used for adventurers on the road tired of eating rations. The meals a chef can make on the road are fantastic. It's like having a pocket restaurant.

Chefs have a +8 racial bonus to Craft Cooking and Profession Cook checks.

While generally constructs are neutral, a homunculi picks up the alignment of its creator on casting.

Combat[edit]

Handy homunculi make poor weapons. A chef can bite, its mouth (to which it is almost all mouth) opening wide. But it rather cook, not fight.

Chef Powers (Su)

A chef homuculi may warm, cool, cook, and re-flavor foods at will, usually invoking fanciful magical effects. As you might imagine there's no time in combat to use this, but out of combat it makes for a refreshing meal. The abilities operate exactly like prestidigitation.

Construction[edit]

The body is made of tallow and clay, with the core crystal often embedded in the center. A drop of the caster's blood is mixed in with the clay and tallow, which all fuses together into a perfect blend on casting Ell's Handy Homunculus. The entire cost of supplies equals 500 gp.

Assembling the body requires a DC 15 Craft (cooking) or Craft (pottery) check.

CL 1st; Ell's Handy Homunculus, Prestidigitation; Never sold; Cost 500 gp + 25 XP.
