Cattine Priestess[edit]

Cattine Priestesses worship Gyia and the spirits of Vina. They are the rulers of the village and the holy representative of the cattine faith.

Cattine priestesses often wander from village to village, or they act as a local representative for a small group a cattine in a town or city not of cattine origin. They are ambassadors for the cattine ensuring piece for cattine in an area. The enforce cattine social laws in remote areas where a specific village is not present, but a few cattine are. In their travels they bring back information to the few cattine villages on the world abroad and the conditions and number of other villages.

Cattine priestesses are among the few cattine who wear any form of clothing preferring simple light green robes and a small scepter representing their faith. They are diplomats, the ones the cattine look to for guidance from day to day life, and for strength in a crisis. When a high priestess in not around, then it is up the priestess to take charge and maintain order.

Cattine priestesses are chosen when they are young and raised, virtually from birth, to rule. They are trained by other priestesses and by the high priestess of the village. Once they have reached a certain level in their training they are sent out into the world to learn. Some times they are sent out on a quest to reach another village, travelling alone or with another priestess. What ever the reason for venturing forth they strive to reach the level where they may someday become a high priestess. To be worthy of the title and the responsibility that comes with that rank. They are bread to be diplomatic, caring, to never show fear, to inspire strength in others, and to care for the welfare of their fellow cattine. When the times are at their worst, they must be, or appear, to be at their best and strongest.

Making a Cattine Priestess[edit]

Abilities: Wisdom determines how powerful a spell a cattine priestess can cast, how many spells the cattine priestess can cast per day, and how hard those spells are to resist. To cast a spell, a cattine priestess must have a Wisdom score of 10 + the spell's level. A cattine priestess gets bonus spells based on Wisdom. The Difficulty Class of a saving throw against a cattine priestess is 10 + the spell's level + the cattine priestess' Wisdom modifier + power check (See Below, Crystal Draw). A high constitution improves a cattine priestess' hit points and the amount of power she can draw from the Cattine Crystals.

Races: Cattine priestesses can only be either Cattine or half Cattine.

Alignment: Any non-evil alignment.

Starting Gold: As Cleric.

Starting Age: "Moderate" or "As Cleric".

The cattine priestess' class skills (and the key ability for each skill) are Balance (Dex), Climb (Str), Concentration (Con), Diplomacy (Cha), Handle Animal (Cha), Heal (Wis), Intuit Direction (Wis), Knowledge (All, Int), Move Silently (Dex), Perform (Cha), Scry (Int), Sense Motive (Wis), Spell Craft (Int), Wilderness Lore (Wis).

Class Features[edit]

All of the following are class features of the <-class name->.

Weapon and Armor Proficiency: Cattine priestesses are proficient with all simple weapons only and no shields or armor.

Spells: Cattine priestesses cast divine spells from all 21 of the cleric domains. A cattine priestess may choose 2 domains to specialize in. They gain the granted powers of these 2 domains only.

Crystal Draw: Scattered throughout the land are free floating crystals of unknown origin. The cattine are somehow in tune with these crystals, and their priestesses are able to naturally draw power from these crystals. The power check modifier for a cattine priestess' magic is d20 + their Constitution bonus. The power check can be added to the damage caused by spells that do damage. All characters will take the full damage from the power check, at the least, despite save. This includes classes which can save for no damage. They will at least take the power check result in damage.

Crystal Cast: The cattine priestess can command and shape the magic of the cattine crystal to cast any Divine, Arcane, or Elemental spell she chooses at her caster level.

Playing a Cattine Priestess[edit]

Religion: Cattine Priestesses worship Gyia and the spirits of Vina. They are the rulers of the village and the holy representative of the cattine faith.

Combat: Cattine priestesses typically take a defensive and supporting role in combat providing defensive spells as well as healing and curing the party as needed.

Cattine Priestesses in the World[edit]

Daily Life: When in a village priestess act as law enforcers, spoke person for the village, arbitrators of disputes, organizers, coordinators and healers. They work under the village high priestess or together as a comity in the absence of a high priestess. The priestesses represent what little form of government or leadership organization the Cattine have in any village or community.

When not living in a specific village, the priestesses act as wondering bards, heralds, scouts and ambassadors. Exploring the lands, gathering information, and keeping the scattered villages informed of event sin the world which may be of importance to the Cattine.

Organizations: Cattine Priestesses assemble in temples or groves of their village when there is a need for a meeting or to quickly disseminate important information.

NPC Reactions: All other Cattine (with the exception of High Priestesses) look up to the priestesses as a mother figure and community leader.
