Butterfree resembles a vaguely anthropomorphic butterfly. Unlike true insects, it only has four legs, which are a pale blue color. It has a nose-like structure which is a similar color. Butterfree's body’s coloration is a darker purple-blue. It has large veined wings which are white with black markings. These markings can help distinguish male and female individuals. It has large compound eyes which tend to be a reddish color. Like members of the order Lepidoptera, Butterfree’s wings are covered in fine scales. Its legs are covered in fine hairs which aid in the collection of honey.
[edit] Strategies and Tactics
A Butterfree typically just glides through the air, content to leave alone and be left alone. If threatened, it often tries to confuse or poison its opponents.
PokeMon Battle A Butterfree is incapable of delivering Lethal Damage to another PokeMon. Treat all damage taken in a fight between two PokeMon as nonlethal damage. However, a PokeMon does not take a -4 penalty on their attack roll when dealing nonlethal damage to PokeMon.
Special Advancement A Butterfree gains Experience at fives times the rate of other creatures with Class Levels. However, it does not increase in challenge rating any faster than any other creature would. In addition, a PokeMon cannot take any class levels other than the levels pertaining to its type.
PokeMoves A Butterfree is capable of using any flying, bug-type, Psychic or poison type PokeMove.
