[edit] Class Features

All of the following are Class Features of the BoneClaw Vindicator full prestige class.

Weapon and Armor Proficiency: BoneClaw Vindicators are proficient with the crossbow (hand, light, or heavy), dagger (any type), dart, rapier, sap, shortbow (normal and composite), and short sword. Assassins are proficient with light armor but not with shields.

Techniques: At each level, you gain technique points per day, an increase in Technician level, and new techniques as if you had also gained a level in a Technician class to which you belonged before adding the prestige class level. You do not, however, gain any other benefit a character of that class would have gained.

Technician Points/Encounter: Your ability to manifest techniques is limited by the technique points you have available. Your base encounter allotment of technique points is given on Table: The BoneClaw Vindicator. In addition, you receive bonus technique points per day if you have a high Con score (see Table: Ability Modifiers and Bonus Technique Points). Bonus Points per day act in the same way as Spell-like abilities.

Techniques Known: You begin play knowing X techniques of your choice. Each time you achieve a new level, you unlock the power of a new technique. You can use any technique that has a technique point cost equal to or lower than your technician level.

The total number of techniques you can use in a day is limited only by your daily technique points.

You simply know your techniques; they are ingrained in your mind. You do not need to prepare them (in the way that some spellcasters prepare their spells), though you must get a good night's sleep each day to regain all your spent technique points.

The Difficulty Class for saving thows against BoneClaw Vindicator's techniques is 10 + the technique's level + your Con modifier.

You choose your Technqiues from the following list:

1st—BoneBlade, Bone Bolt, Step of Bone, Claw of the Ghoul, Lesser Bone Skin, Nimble Ivory, Horrible Thorns, Bone Shards, Nervous Constriction, Minor Bone Reave, Grip of the Weary, Ivory Shield, Grip of Thorns, Inner Thorns, Fist of Bone, and Hidden BoneBlade.

2nd—<-this power->, <-that power->, <-and the other power->.

3rd—<-this power->, <-that power->, <-and the other power->.

4th—<-this power->, <-that power->, <-and the other power->.

Maximum Technique Level Known: This column determines the highest level technique you can learn at this level.

To learn or use a power, you must have an Con score of at least 10 + the techniques level.

Sacrifice (Ex): At level one a BoneClaw Vindicator can lose a point from his constitution score and instantly gain 1d6 technican points. Doing this is a free action.

Weapon Focus (BoneWeapon): At level one a BonClaw Vindicator gains the Weapon Focus feat for BoneWeapons. This means that the bonus's apply to weapons made of Bone.

Parcour (Ex): At level two a BoneClaw Vindicator gains the Parcour.

Fast Healing (Ex): At level three a BoneClaw Vindicator gains Fast Healing 1. Every three levels afterward, the Fast Healing invcrease's by 1. Until they reach Fast Healing 5 at level 15.

Guardian of the City (Ex): At level five a BoneClaw Vindicator is constantly affected by Spider Climb, and is allowed to commit petty crimes if it helps the BoneClaw Vindicator's mission.

I can run all night Vampire. But can you run all day?

BoneClaw Vindicators aren't very well known outside of BoneClaw often thought to be a Myth to keep preds (Pre-Deads) out. But inside BoneClaw the Vindicators are amoung the highest of the elite, second only to the Count of BoneClaw himself and his two children.

NPC Reactions (Outside BoneClaw): Generally only people inside BoneClaw will know what a BoneClaw Vindicator is, so people who have never been to BoneClaw generally only recognise the Vindicators as undead. This is until they create a blade of bone of course.

NPC Reactions (Inside BoneClaw): People who live in BoneClaw will generally have one of two reactions upon sight of a BoneCLaw Vindicator. Respect or Fear. Either they will immediately give the Vindicator the unmost respect or realise that danger always follows the Vindicators.
