Bohdan (Zyanya Supplement)
From D&D Wiki
The port city of Ralizaj, located in Bohdan is wholly controlled by the Amareth. All not bearing the badge of the Amareth army are forbidden to carry weapons. Outsiders traveling through the city must have their weapons peace-tied and sealed, and a record made of their passing. A broken seal on a weapon is sufficient cause for arrest. The Amareth also patrol the outlying farms. Those who speak against the Amareth occupation are often arrested on charges of rebellion or heresy. The local nobles have 'officially' converted to Samad. The Amareth navy patrols the harbor, and is the source of Amareth control. Trade in and out of Sclavini is at the mercy of the Amareth, whether across the border of the Amareth region or through the waters controlled by the Amareth navy. Smugglers are executed, from captain to lowest deckhand. On the plus side, the Amareth have built a chapter house for the healer's guild that, by guild policy, is open to all. They also built a school and orphanage open to those in need, though common is the language spoken. The Amareth do use most of the taxes they collect from the city to build roads, and there are now public fountains with running water in most areas of the city. Both disease and crime have dropped considerably since the Amareth took over. Ralizaj lies on the river Lachyrma, and trade coming into the down continues upriver until the Marusya canyon (which also forms the border between Bohdan and Andrzej ) makes river travel too hazardous to continue. Four roads, including the road along the river, enter the city. Bandits occasionally attack boats on the river or caravans on the road, but the Amareth response tends to frighten all but the most foolhardy and desperate bandits.
 Life and Society:
Bohdan is the only Sclavini nation with a port city to speak of. Granted, that port city is wholly controlled by the Amareth, but Ralizaj is a port city.
