Black Rogue Overview |
| Characteristics: "Common petty thieves will be hung by their neck at the likes of commoners. I shall not, for I know how to make those commoners burst into spontaneous flame, or curse them so that every move causes an ache in their soul, Yes I am a Black Rogue!" The Black Rogue is a serious class. They are proud of what they do, and will stop at nothing to accomplish their goals. A lot of people who become black Rogues were once powerful warlocks whom learned the ways of being tricky and sneaky. Upon further study they learn the ways of becoming a killing machine. "A hybrid warlock and Rogue, such a thing would devour the very soul of an angel by itself..." |
| Religion: Black Rogues are usually followers of the Raven Queen or Nerull. The pure evil Black Rogue may be a follower of Vecna. Black Rogues can follow any deity that will give them Arcane powers, as long as they aren't Good or Lawful Good. |
| Races: Black Rogues are versatile. Any Race can be a Black Rogue, as long as they are quick. To Be a Black Rogue one must have a deity with which they make a pact. This pact is the overarching reason that a Black Rogue gets it's arcane power, so therefore the race must be able to worship a deity. |
[edit] Creating a Black Rogue
Black Rogues are strong, quick, magical people. They strike hard and fast, and only leave those whom are strong enough to survive standing. As a Black Rogue you can follow one of two paths. The Dark Walker Path is a path more focused on quick hits and not being seen. As a Dark Walker you will most likely be doing the thinning out in the battle. As a Sharp Caster you rely more on your magic. You can go one on one with melee combat, but you would rather stand back and cast spells that burst, explode and or push your enemies around the field. You have to be careful though, that you do not harm your allies in the burst.
[edit] Dark Walker
As a Dark Walker you want to hide in the shadows and slice your enemies into bits. You don't rely on the magic as much as your skill in critical blows, but you do use magic when it suits your needs. "A Dark Walker will disappear at the beginning of battle and nobody will know where they are until the battle is over."

[edit] Sharp Caster
A Sharp Caster relies on magic more then the physical aspect. When things get dirty they aren't afraid to pull a blade, and they know just where to stick it so that the enemy only has 30 seconds to live. A Sharp Caster is accurate, but may not be as potent in damage.

[edit] Black Rogue Powers
Black Rogue powers generally consist of Physical attacks and Arcane magic. Almost all of the magic is fueled into them by their deity. Without a deity to worship and Black Rogue cannot cast any arcane magic. Even if the Black Rogue goes against the deity's orders it can still cast the magic, the Black Rogue and the deity made a pact which lasts until death of either one.
