Black Metal Template[edit]

<BR/ or Mineral is a very rare sight, it is a metal or mineral
that is formed in places of Extreme Negative energy, Rare on the
Prime material plane, but still present. These rare materials are
often overlooked and seen as Mundane to the Untrained eye, seeing as it
looks like Black ore with a Specific Color Vein/Veins running
throughout it, the color of the Veins signifies the type of metal that was
Imbued with the Concentration of negative energy.
One of the main reasons most Untrained miners and Material hunters pass it over is
their lack of energy when touching the ore, slowly eating
at their life force and draining there energy.


A Black metal or mineral give a +2 hardness and +10 HP/per inch, I.E. Black Steel Has 12 Hardness and 40 hp/Inch, and also Adds 1D6
Negative energy damage for weapons, 1D8 for Masterwork weapons, Or Amplified Negative energy or Drain type abilities. the Armor adds a
50% DR to negative energy, 3/Posotive energy to everything else. The Amplification abilitied of weapons made out of a black material are
determined by the Critical Multiplier of the Weapon type, I.E. Short sword is X2 Great Axe X3 and Scythe X4 Meaning if a Scythe does 1d4
con damage as well as its normal damage, on a Critical it would do 1d4 con x 4 for a total of 4-16 con damage.


One of the major set backs of Black materials is that Living Beings cannot wield or wear anything that is made out of a black material,
Mainly because of its Direct connaction with negative energy, After Smiting Black Metal Ore the powers of the metals are Truly released,
While in its ore form it mearly weakens any living creature, But once Refined it does 5 Negative Energy damage +1 Con damage per round
that its in contact with a living being, these items are one of the Few things that nercomancers have over any other class, there ability
to graft Undead parts onto themselves, I.E. a Ghouls arm inorder to wield a Black Metal weapons. If a Black metal weapon gets enchanted
it will gain its normal Enchantment bonus to damage aswell as that same enchantment bonus to its negative energy damage, and will always
be 1D8 since all magical items are of Masterwok Quality. Sundering with a Black metal weapon is a Truly devistating thing, once you apply
damage to an item, it will take an Additional 1 damage per day until you get a remove curse spell on the item or it is destroyed, Items
that are magically Imbues with Posotive energy, Holy, Lawful, things of the sort are immune to this effect.
