[edit] Physical Qualities
A bearborn looks like a humanoid and slightly smaller bear. Bearborn have long fur and sharp claws. They are very strong and tower among most races. Bearborn eyes are dark and their fur can either be brown, black, golden, or white. Bearborn have a lifespan slightly longer than a humans, most live until 90 but some have been known to live up to 120 years.
[edit] Playing an Bearborn
Bearborn are similar to dragonborn, but they have different traits. They can be very stubborn but honor bound creatures. A bearborn that has broken a promise is exiled from his or her clan, stripped of clan name and labeled "oathbreaker". An oathbreaker is forbidden from returning to the clan until suitable amends have been made toward the recipient of the broken promise and the clan chieftain.
Bearborn live in the far north and south in kingdoms ruled by the largest and strongest clans. Bearborn kingdoms don't have a lower class and have only the middle and upper classes. Bearborn usually take on manual labor, and become labor and guards in human cities. Bearborn make great adventurers.
Bearborns also are drawn into battle. Over thousands of years the race had fought many battles over many evil humanoids, putting cities in their place. This is a factor that caused an age of darkness thousands of years ago. Still, bearborns exel in battle, and live to feel the blood.
Bearborn mostly have bad tempers, they never forget insults but almost act like dragons when they fight back. Also they have a fair almost of respect for nature, but only enough to not tear down the forests. They also have a fair respect for Teddy Bears, but treat them as pets or parody of their race. Bearborns mostly warship Kord, Bahamut, and sometimes Moradin and Melodra.
Bearborn Characteristics: honor-bond, fierce, leader, stubborn, warrior
