The basic set includes the following classes:
Equipment for the basic set is a limited subset. It contains a small subset of weapons in game, which range from 1d4 to 1d10 damage. Armor ranges from none (AC9) to Plate (AC 3), with the option of a shield. There is a staff available as a magic item, but it is only usable by a cleric.
The guide covers character levels upto level 3. Further levels are included in Expert Set (Basic D&D) or Expert Set (Revised) (Basic D&D).
