The Awoken are zombies who have gained a small amount of intelligence and can wield weapons. They have glowing blue eyes and speak a language forgotten many years ago. [edit] LoreDC 15: Awoken are undead found in old tombs. No known necromatic ritual can create them. DC 20: They are created in the wake of a necromancer who has raided a tomb and left desecrated bodies behind. They have a sliver of conscious intelligence. DC 25: Awoken are only made when a necromancer enters a tomb and raises some of the undead to serve them. Once they leave, the remaining bodies shudder to unlife with the residual necrotic energies. [edit] EncountersThey generally attack anything that enters the tomb and does something that angers it like pulling a lever or walking past its crypt.
