The Apostle is the chosen servent of a god, unlike most holy men the Apostle does not chose to follow a god, the god choses him to be his messanger in the prime material plane.
[edit] Making an Apostle
The Apostle is a very defensive class, both in terms of personal defence and in defending the party from damage.
Abilities: The most important abilitie for an Apostle is Charisma as this will determin the save DC for your prayers.
Races: Apostles appear among all races even those that do not worship gods.
Alignment: At 1st level the Apostle may chose a patron deity, this is the god who granted the Apostle his power. The Apostle must be the same alignment as his patron deity. If the Apostle decides not to choose a patron then a Patron chooses him. In this case the apostle will not know who has granted him this power (and might not care). The patron will either be a being who’s goals match those of the apostle (a god or powerful outsider) or a fundamental force that is close the Apostle (e.g. Evil, Nature, Good, Freedom)..

[edit] Class Features
All of the following are class features of the Apostle.
Weapon and Armor Proficiency: The Apostle is proficient with all simple weapons, with light and medium armour and with shields.
Prayers (Sp): Prayers are similar to spell like abilities that can be used at will by the Apostle. The divine caster level for all Prayers is equal to the Apostles class level. The DC for any prayer is 10 + spell level + Cha mod. Unlike most spell like abilities Prayers have a verbal component and so cannot be used if the Apostle is unable to speak for any reason. There are 4 types of Prayers (Psalm, Breviary, Missal and True Prayer), an Apostle may not select Prayers from a given type until he acquires the appropriate class feature.
Some prayers affect “Damage”, for the purpose of prayer use Damage, is defined as hitpoint damage and Ability score damage only. All other effect (including loss of hitpoints due to negative levels) are not considered to be Damage.
Bonus Prayers (Sp): at 1st level the apostle gains Rest of the faithful as a bonus prayer. At 3rd level the apostle gains Divine Comprehension as a bonus prayer. These bonus Prayers may not be exchanged using the Switch Prayer ability.
Aura (Su): An Apostle of a chaotic, evil, good, or lawful deity has a particularly powerful aura corresponding to the deity’s alignment (see the detect evil spell for details).
Smite (Su): starting at 2nd level the Apostle may as a standard action infuse a weapon with Divine energy and make a single attack. Before making the attack roll the Apostle must decide what form the energy will take, at first he will only have the choice of a single energy type but as he gains levels more options will become available. The energy type selected will determine the dice type the extra damage will use and any special effects. The energy dissipates after the attack. The alignment based energy types (Holy (good), Unholy (Evil) Anarchic (Chaotic) and Axiomatic (Lawful)) deal half damage to neutral targets and no damage to targets with of the corresponding alignment.
Energy types
Fire; dice type d6. Cold; dice type d6. Electricity; dice type d6. Acid; dice type d4, the target takes an additional 1d4 acid damage per round for 1 round per 4 levels (minimum 1 round). Sonic; dice type d3. Incapacitating Smite; dice type d6, all damage from this attack (including the weapon damage) is subdual damage. Anarchic; dice type d6. the attack gains the chaotic descriptor. Only available to Chaotic Apostles of at least 8th level. Axiomatic; dice type d6. the attack gains the Lawful descriptor. Only available to Lawful Apostles of at least 8th level. Holy; Dice type d6. the attack gains the Good descriptor. Only available to good Apostles of at least 8th level. Unholy; Dice type D6. the attack gains the Evil descriptor. Only available to Evil Apostles of at least 8th level. Incorporeal; Dice type D6. this attack strikes as an incorporeal touch attack. The attack deals no weapon damage and gains no bonus damage from any source, only the smite damage is applied to the target. This attack can strike incorporeal targets normally without a miss chance. Positive energy; Dice type D12. only causes damage to undead targets. may not be taken by Evil Apostles. Negative energy; Dice type D3. a living creature killed by this attack immediately rises as a skeleton under the control of the Apostle. Any Undead created in this way count towards the amount of undead an apostle can command with the Rebuke Undead ability. May not be taken by good Apostles.
Sermon (Su): Upon reaching level 3 the Apostle gains the ability to deliver a verbal message, speech or sermon that any creature who is not actively trying to harm the Apostle, will hear in there own native language. This ability does not provide the Apostle the ability to understand or communicate in any additional languages beyond the delivering of his message, nor does it ensure that the message will be understood, only that there will be no language barriers. At 15th level it becomes almost impossible to resist listening to the Apostle. Any creature trying to do anything other than listen to the Apostle must first succeed at a will save with a DC of 10 +1/2 the Apostles level + his charisma mod, on a failed save the creature must continue to listen to the apostle until he is finished speaking. Any hostile action breaks this effect for all involved. This is a mind affecting compulsion effect. Creatures of animal intelligence are immune to this effect.
Commune (Sp):At 5th level the Apostle becomes able to ask his patron for guidance. Once per day the apostle may ask 1 question of his deity and receives an answer of yes, no or unknown. The answer is always the truth from the deity’s point of view. An apostle that chooses to abandon his patron loses access to this ability until he atones.
Switch Prayer (Ex): At 6th level and every 3 levels after, the Apostle may drop 1 known prayer and take another prayer of equal or lesser type in its place. You may not switch the bonus prayers gained at 1st and 3rd level.
Immediate protection (Su): Upon reaching level 7 the Apostle becomes able to take up to 2 immediate actions per round. This increases to 3 per round at level 13 and 4 per round at level 19. These extra immediate actions may only be used to cast additional Prayers.

Any Apostle who stops worshiping his god or who changes his alingment, may no longer advance as an apostle and loses access to the Commune class feature.

Divine Comprehension Level: 1 Components: NA Casting Time: Permanent Range: Personal Duration: Permanent Saving Throw: None Spell Resistance: None With this prayer the Apostle gains a greater understanding of a particular field of magic. When choosing this Prayer the Apostle selects a spell casting class, as long as he has access to this prayer he is considered to have access to that classes spell list for the purpose of magic item use. The Apostle also gains insight into how the members of the selected class uses magic, this is represented by a +4 competence bonus to the Knowledge Arcane, Knowledge religion, or knowledge Nature skill (Pick 1). As a final benefit the Apostle is able to scribe scrolls as a member of the chosen class. The Apostle may scribe a scroll (as if he had the scribe scroll feat and access to the required spell) of any spell in the chosen spell list as long as the spell level is no greater than 1/3 of his caster level. The Apostle may take this prayer multiple times, each time he must select a different spell casting class. All Apostles’ receive this prayer free at third level.
Divine grace Level: 2 Components: NA Casting Time: NA Range: Self Duration: Permanent Saving Throw: None Spell Resistance: No As long as he has access to this prayer the apostle may add his charisma bonus to a single save type (fortitude, reflex or will). The type of save effected must be selected when the apostle first picks this prayer and may not be changed. An Apostle may take this prayer multiple times, its effects do not stack, each time you take this prayer it must be applied to a different save type
Divine retribution Level: 1 Components: V Casting Time: 1 immediate action Range: Personal Duration: Instantaneous Saving Throw: None Spell Resistance: No With this Prayer the Apostle may add his charisma bonus to a single attack roll. This power must be used before the roll to hit.
Ending Level: 2 (Death) Components: V, S Casting Time: 1 standard action Range: Touch Effect: Dying Creature touched Duration: Instantaneous Saving Throw: no Spell Resistance: Yes As the Death Knell spell except the Apostle gains +4 Str and is healed 2 hit points per hit dice of the target.
Mark of Disfavour Level: 2 Components: V Casting Time: 1 standard action Range: Close (25 ft. + 5 ft./2 levels) Effect: Targeted creature Duration: Permanent (D) Saving Throw: Will partial Spell Resistance: Yes With this Prayer the Apostle marks one of his opponents to receive the disfavour of his god. On a failed save the target takes a penalty equal to the Apostles charisma bonus, to all attack rolls, saving throws, skill checks and ability checks. On a successful save the target only takes a -1 penalty. The Apostle may only have 1 active Mark of Disfavour and may not use this spell again if he already has an active mark of disfavour. A mark of disfavour cannot be dispelled but any effect that is capable of removing a curse also has the same chance to remove a mark of disfavour.
Natural Empathy Level: 1 Components: NA Casting Time: NA Range: Special Duration: NA Saving Throw: NA Spell Resistance: NA As long as he has access to this prayer the Apostle gains the Animal Companion and Wild Empathy class ability’s’ as a druid of his level.
Physicians touch Level: 1 Components: NA Casting Time: NA Range: Personal Duration: permanent Saving Throw: none Spell Resistance: no As long as he has access to this prayer the Apostle gains a +6 bonus to all Heal, Diplomacy and Concentration skill checks. He also reduces the time required to make a heal check by half.
Protection of the Faith Level: 1 Components: V Casting Time: 1 immediate action Range: Close (25 ft. + 5 ft./2 levels) Duration: Instantaneous Saving Throw: Will negates (harmless) Spell Resistance: yes (harmless) With this Prayer the Apostle grants one of his allies a second chance to make a save. After the save is rolled but before the result is known the apostle may use this prayer to grant the target a re-roll, the target does not have to take the re-roll but must accept the result of any re-roll he does take even if the result is less that the original roll.
Radiance Level: 3 Components: V Casting Time: 1 standard action Range: 30, 60 or 90’ emanation centred on the caster Duration: 24 hours (D) Saving Throw: None Spell Resistance: No The Apostle utters a single holy word and begins radiating Divine power. The caster may chose the area of effect of either 30, 60 or 90’, all creatures that have the same alignment as the caster can see within this area as if it were brightly lit but all vision stops at the edge of the area of effect (unless the creature would normally be able to see beyond this limit). All creatures within the area (regardless of alignment) can feel the presence of this aura and automatically know the alignment of the caster. If the area of effect overlaps with a magical darkness effect, Radiance suppresses the darkness unless it has an effective spell level greater than 3.
Rest of the faithful Level: 1 Components: V, S Casting Time: 1 standard action Range: Touch Duration: until the target next sleeps Saving Throw: Will negates (harmless) Spell Resistance: yes (harmless) The Apostle places his hand on the target and mutters a short prayer, placing an enhancement upon them. when the target next sleeps (must be at least 8 hours of sleep) he regains hit points as if he had taken 2 days of full bed rest (a total of 4 hit points per hit dice and 4 ability score points) the heal skill may be used as normal to aid healing. All Apostles’ receive this prayer free at first level.
Steal Life Level: 3 Components: V, S Casting Time: 1 standard action Range: Touch Duration: Instantaneous/1 round Saving Throw: None Spell Resistance: Yes Apostle’s takes life from those who are unworthy and grants the stolen energy to those in need. The Apostle charges his hand with Divine energies and makes a single melee touch attack that drains a living target of 1D8 + Caster level hit points. In the round following a successful use of this prayer the apostle may use the drained hit points to heal either himself or one of his allies, healing himself is a free action, healing another willing target is a swift action (with a range of touch) and healing an unwilling target requires a standard action and a touch attack. The amount of damage healed is the same as the amount drained in the previous round. If the apostle attempts to drain the life of an undead target, bpth the caster and the undead take 3D6 backlash damage ignoring any DR.
Sustenance Level: 2 Components: V, S Casting Time: 1 standard action Range: Touch Effect: touched creature Duration: 1 Day Saving Throw: Fort negates Spell Resistance: Yes The Apostle is able to use divine energy to suppress the need for food and water. The Apostle may touch a single creature, for the next 24 hours this creature no longer needs to eat or drink and is immune to the effects of starvation or thirst. In addition the creatures affected gain the benefits of the endurance feat for the duration of the prayer. If the target already has the endurance feat the bonus increases to +8. The Apostle may only affect up to his level in creatures at any one time with this prayer no mater how many times it is used.
Turn Undead Level: 1 Components: NA Casting Time: NA Range: Special Duration: NA Saving Throw: NA Spell Resistance: NA As long as he has access to this prayer the Apostle is able to turn undead as a cleric of his level once every 5 rounds. Evil Apostles gain the ability to Rebuke Undead instead. At the DM’s option the Apostle may take the ability to turn / rebuke elemental creatures instead. See the granted powers for the Fire, Earth, water and Air domains.

Animal Totem Level: 5 Components: V Casting Time: 1 standard action Range: Self Duration: Until dismissed (D) Saving Throw: none Spell Resistance: no When the Apostle first takes this prayer he must chose a totem animal from the following list; Black Bear, Cheetah, Crocodile, Lion, Snake (Large Viper), Wolverine or Shark (Large). At any time the Apostle may as a standard action, change (as per the shape change spell) into his totem animal. This prayer may be taken multiple times each time the Apostle must select a different animal totem. An Apostle with this prayer qualifies for the ‘Natural spell’ feat.
Animate Dead Level: 5 Components: V, S Casting Time: 1 standard action Range: Touch Effect: The corpse of a single creature Duration: Instantaneous (D) Saving Throw: None Spell Resistance: No This spell turns the bones or body of a dead creature into an undead skeleton or zombie minion that follows your spoken commands. The undead can follow you, or they can remain in an area and attack any creature (or just a specific kind of creature) entering the place. They remain animated until they are destroyed or dismissed (A destroyed skeleton or zombie can’t be animated again.) Regardless of the type of undead creature you create with this spell, the creature you create cannot have more HD than your caster level. If you wish to create a new undead minion you must first dismiss or destroy the old one. Skeletons: A skeleton can be created only from a mostly intact corpse or skeleton. The corpse must have bones. If a skeleton is made from a corpse, the flesh falls off the bones. Zombies: A zombie can be created only from a mostly intact corpse. The corpse must be that of a creature with a true anatomy. The Skeleton or Zombie will serve the Apostle as if it were a controlled undead but does not count towards the amount of undead that the Apostle may control. Any attempt to control the creature automatically fails
Block Spell Level: 4 Components: V Casting Time: 1 immediate action Range: Close (25 ft. + 5 ft./2 levels) Effect: Creature targeted Duration: Instantaneous / 1 hour Saving Throw: no Spell Resistance: no The Apostle uses this power just as the target is about to be affected by a spell. He is able create a magical barrier around his target blocking all magic for a brief moment. The target gains Spell resistance 10 + Caster level that must be applied to the incoming spell regardless of the targets wishes. Spells that do not allow spell resistance are un-affected. If a spell is blocked by this prayer the Apostle gains temporary hitpoints equal to 2x the spell level for 1 hour.
Breaking Deaths touch Level: 4 Components: V, S Casting Time: 1 standard action Range: Touch Effect: creature touched. Duration: Instantaneous Saving Throw: Will negates (harmless) Spell Resistance: Yes (harmless) If the Target of this Prayer has any negative levels that have the potential to result in level loss. He may immediately make a fortitude save (with a bonus equal to the Apostles Charisma mod) to remove the negative level. If the save succeeds the target loses 1 negative level, if the save fails he keeps the negative level and cannot benefit from this prayer again for 24 hours. The DC of the fortitude save is the same as the DC to avoid level loss. If the target has no negative levels then this prayer instead converts all stat drain the target may have to stat damage.
Cleansing Level: 4 Components: V, S Casting Time: 1 standard action or 2 rounds Range: Touch Effect: Creature touched Duration: Instantaneous Saving Throw: Will negates (harmless) Spell Resistance: Yes (harmless) If the Target of this Prayer is affected by any of the following conditions; disease (magical or otherwise), poison, paralysis, prettification, polymorph, curse, Charm, Dominate or compulsion. He may immediately make a save (with a bonus equal to the Apostles Charisma mod) to remove 1 of the effects. If the save succeeds the effect ends immediately, if the save fails the prayer has no effect and the target cannot benefit from it again for 24 hours. The DC and type of the save is the same as was used to avoid the initial effect. The Apostle may if he chooses take 2 rounds to cast this prayer and substitute a heal check in place of the save. If the curse has a special requirement that must be met before it can be removed then treat this prayer as a remove curse spell for the purpose of determining if it is capable of removing the curse.
Halo of protection Level: 4 Components: NA Casting Time: NA Range: Self Duration: Permanent Saving Throw: None Spell Resistance: No As long as he has access to this prayer the Apostle gains a +1 Deflection bonus to, this bonus increases by 1 for every 3 caster levels above 3 to a maximum of +5 at level 15. The apostle also gains a +1 sacred bonus to all saves.
Holy Aura* Level: 5 Components: NA Casting Time: NA Range: Personal Effect: self Duration: Permanent Saving Throw: none Spell Resistance: no As long as he has access to this prayer the Apostle gains a +2 sacred bonus to AC and saves. Both these bonuses only apply against attacks made or effects created by evil creatures. Also the aura blocks any attempt to possess the Apostle (by a magic jar attack, for example) or to exercise mental control over him (including enchantment (charm) effects and enchantment (compulsion) effects that grant the caster ongoing control over the subject, such as dominate person). The protection does not prevent such effects from targeting the protected creature, but it suppresses the effect. In addition the Apostle becomes immune to all forms of disease or Poison. *There are 4 variants of this Prayer, one for each alignment each provides the same AC and save bonus vs. creatures of the opposing alignment and one additional effect, see the table bellow for details.
Variant protection vs. Additional benefit Holy Aura (Good) Evil The Apostle becomes immune to disease and poison. Unholy Aura (Evil) Good The Apostle radiates a malign aura that causes enemies within 10 feet of him to take a –2 penalty on all saving throws. Axiomatic Aura (Lawful) Chaos Apostle becomes immune to Fear and grants a +4 bonus to save vs. fear to all allies within 10'. Anarchic Aura (Chaotic) Law The apostle gains the Slippery Mind class ability.
Luck of the trickster Level: 5 Components: V Casting Time: 1 immediate action Range: Close (25 ft. + 5 ft./2 levels) Duration: Instantaneous Saving Throw: no (harmless) Spell Resistance: No (harmless) With this Prayer a single target is granted the Evasion class ability and a + 3 bonus to reflex saves. The protection lasts only moments but is long enough to protect the target from a single attack. This power must be used before the save is rolled.
Spending the Life Blood (healing) Level: 4 Components: V, S Casting Time: 1 standard action Range: Touch Effect: Touched creature. Duration: Instantaneous Saving Throw: Will negates Spell Resistance: Yes The Apostle lays his hand on the target and uses the targets own reserves to repair damage The target heals as if getting 5 days of natural rest (i.e. heals five hit points per hit die and 5 stat points). The target becomes fatigued. If the target is already fatigued, the target becomes exhausted. If the target is already exhausted, this prayer cannot affect them. Creatures that have no Con score cannot benefit from this Prayer. Creatures that are immune to fatigue may only benefit from this prayer once per day.
Raise Dead Level: 5 Components: V S Casting Time: 1 minute Range: Touch Effect: Dead creature touched. Duration: Instantaneous Saving Throw: None Spell Resistance: No With this prayer the Apostle is able to bring the dead to life. You can raise a creature that has been dead for no longer than one minute per caster level. In addition, the subject’s soul must be free and willing to return. If the subject’s soul is not willing to return, the spell does not work; therefore, a subject that wants to return receives no saving throw. Coming back from the dead is an ordeal. The subject of the spell loses one level (or 1 Hit Die) when it is raised, just as if it had lost a level or a Hit Die to an energy-draining creature. If the subject is 1st level, it loses 2 points of Constitution instead (if this would reduce its Con to 0 or less, it can’t be raised). This level/HD loss or Constitution loss cannot be repaired by any means. A raised creature has a number of hit points equal to its current Hit Dice. Any ability scores damaged to 0 are raised to 1. Normal poison and normal disease are cured in the process of raising the subject, but magical diseases and curses are not undone. While the spell closes mortal wounds and repairs lethal damage of most kinds, the body of the creature to be raised must be whole. Otherwise, missing parts are still missing when the creature is brought back to life. None of the dead creature’s equipment or possessions are affected in any way by this spell. A creature that has been turned into an undead creature or killed by a death effect can’t be raised by this spell. Constructs, elementals, outsiders, and undead creatures can’t be raised. The spell cannot bring back a creature that has died of old age.
Shield of Force Level: 4 Components: V Casting Time: 1 swift action Range: Touch Duration: Until dismissed (D) Saving Throw: None Spell Resistance: No With this Prayer the Apostle protects either himself or an ally with an invisible shield of force that moves to defect all incoming attacks. The shield provides a shield bonus to AC that is also effective vs. incorporeal touch attacks. The shield can provide either a +2, +4 or +6 bonus, but for each +2 bonus the apostle takes 1point of damage per round until the spell is dismissed.
Touch of the chosen Level: 5 Components: V, S Casting Time: 1 standard action Range: Touch Effect: creature touched. Air Walk Level: 6 Components: V Casting Time: 1 swift action Range: Self or Mount Duration: 1 round Saving Throw: none Spell Resistance: no The Apostle can tread on air as if walking on solid ground. Moving upward is similar to walking up a hill. The maximum upward or downward angle possible is 45 degrees, at a rate equal to one-half the Apostles normal speed. A strong wind (21+ mph) can push the subject along or hold it back. At the end of its turn each round, the wind blows the air walker 5 feet for each 5 miles per hour of wind speed. The creature may be subject to additional penalties in exceptionally strong or turbulent winds, such as loss of control over movement or physical damage from being buffeted about. Should the spell duration expire while the subject is still aloft, the magic fails slowly. The subject floats downward 60 feet per round until it reaches the ground. Since dispelling a spell effectively ends it, the subject also descends in this way if the air walk spell is dispelled, but not if it is negated by an aimagic field. You can cast air walk on a specially trained mount so it can be ridden through the air. You can train a mount to move with the aid of air walk (counts as a trick; see Handle Animal skill) with one week of work and a DC 25 Handle Animal check.

Celestial Intervention Level: 6 Components: V Casting Time: 1 immediate action Range: Close (25 ft. + 5 ft./2 levels) Duration: Instantaneous Saving Throw: None Spell Resistance: No The Apostle calls on this prayer just as he or one of his allies are struck by an attack or spell, calling on the celestial powers to save the victim. The effect is that the damage of the attack or spell (the total damage including all modifiers) is halved (this is applied before damage reduction or elemental resistance). This Prayer must be used before any save or damage roll but may be invoked after any attack or spell penetration roll.
Contain Spell Level: 6 Components: V Casting Time: 1 standard action Range: Close (25 ft. + 5 ft./2 levels) Effect: targeted Spell Duration: Instantaneous/1 Hour Saving Throw: NA Spell Resistance: see text This Prayer is used to interrupt spell casting. The Apostle uses his power to form a barrier of Divine energy around a spell or spell like ability as it forms in an attempt to contain its power. The caster of the blocked spell must make a spell penetration roll with a DC of 10 + the Apostles caster level + his charisma modifier. If the roll fails the spell is contained and has no effect, on a successful roll the spell is able to break the containment and has its normal effect. This Prayer can contain spells that would not normally allow spell resistance. If the Apostle is successful in containing a spell he may immediately use the energy of the contained spell to grant temporary hitpoints equal to twice the spell level of the contained spell to any one ally within 25 ft. + 5 ft./2 levels.

Exhaustion Level: 6 Components: V Casting Time: 1 immediate action Range: special Effect: Smitten creature. Duration: 1 min./level Saving Throw: Fortitude partial; see text Spell Resistance: Yes After striking a target with a smite attack, the Apostle may chose to channel additional energy into his target by invoking this prayer. The subject is immediately exhausted for the spell’s duration. A successful Fortitude save means the creature is only fatigued. A character that is already fatigued instead becomes exhausted. This prayer has no effect on a creature that is already exhausted. Unlike normal exhaustion or fatigue, the effect ends as soon as the spell’s duration expires.
Freedom of movement Level: 6 Components: V Casting Time: 1 immediate action Range: Close (25 ft. + 5 ft./2 levels) Effect: Targeted creature. Duration: 1 round Saving Throw: Will negates (harmless) Spell Resistance: Yes (harmless) With this prayer the Apostle grants 1 target the freedom to move without restriction for 1 round. This prayer acts like the Freedom of Movement spell except as noted above.
Life Draining strike [Evil] Level: 7 Components: V, S Casting Time: 1 standard action Range: Touch Effect: Creature touched Duration: 1 round per level Saving Throw: Fort partial Spell Resistance: Yes The Apostle charges his hand with Divine energies and makes a single melee touch attack, on a successful hit he forges a link between his own life and that of the target that drains a living target of 1D8 + 1/2Caster level hit points per round and heals the Apostle by a like amount. On a successful save the target is drained by 1D8 + caster level hit points but the duration changes to Instantaneous. If used on an undead target both the Apostle and the target take 3D6 backlash damage ignoring DR.
Monks discipline Level: 6 Components: V Casting Time: 1 immediate action Range: Close (25 ft. + 5 ft./2 levels) Effect: The target gains the Mettle class ability Duration: Instantaneous Saving Throw: No (harmless) Spell Resistance: No (harmless) With this Prayer a single target is granted the Mettle class ability and a +3 bonus to will and fort saves. The protection lasts only moments but is long enough to protect the target from a single attack. This power must be used before the save is rolled.
Planar Ally Level: 7 Components: V, S, Xp Casting Time: 10 minutes Range: Close (25 ft. + 5 ft./2 levels) Effect: One called elemental or outsider. Duration: Instantaneous Saving Throw: None Spell Resistance: No As per the Lesser Planar Ally spell except the called creature may have up to the Apostles level in hit dice. If the chosen task is in line with his patron’s wishes the Apostle need only pay half the listed GP cost. Xp cost 250

The Xp cost for this spell may be split between the caster and the target with the Apostle deciding on the exact amount each of them pays. Xp cost 800
Undead Minion Level: 7 Components: V, M, S Casting Time: 1 hour. Range: Touch Effect: Corpse touched Duration: Instantaneous (D) Saving Throw: None Spell Resistance: No With this power the Apostle creates a single undead minion (as per the Create Undead spell) that will serve him as a faithful servant. The Apostle may only have 1 undead minion at a time and must destroy or dismiss a minion before it can be replaced. The Undead Minion will serve the Apostle as if it were a controlled undead but does not count towards the amount of undead that the Apostle may control. Any attempt to control the minion automatically fails

Divine Intervention Level: 9 Components: V, XP Casting Time: 1 immediate action. Range: Close (25 ft. + 5 ft./2 levels) Effect: 1 spell or attack. Duration: Instantaneous Saving Throw: None Spell Resistance: No Using the power of the Gods themselves, the Apostle is able to completely negate all damage from a single attack or spell. For area effect spells the damage is stopped at its source and so negates the damage for every target. Any secondary effects that require the target to fail a save are also ignored. This Prayer has no effect on any attack or spell that cannot deal damage. Because this Prayer requires calling on the power of the gods directly it cannot be used more than once per round. This Prayer must be used before any save or damage roll but may be invoked after any attack or spell penetration roll. Xp cost , 300
Divine Vigour Level: 8 Components: V Casting Time: 1 immediate action. Range: Close (25 ft. + 5 ft./2 levels) Effect: 1 willing ally Duration: Instantaneous Saving Throw: None Spell Resistance: Yes With this prayer the Apostle wills either himself or an ally to act. The target of this prayer may immediately take a standard action, if this prayer is used as an interrupt to an action then the granted action also interrupts the action. For example an Apostle could use this prayer to interrupt an enemy spell caster by granting an ally an action that is then used to attack the spell caster, if the attack is successful it would then force the caster to make a concentration check or lose the spell. After taking the granted action the target has his initiative count set to 1 greater than the current count: e.g. if the prayer is used to interrupt an action with an initiative of 12 the target will have his initiative set to 13. Once affected by this prayer the target cannot be affected again until after he has taken at least 1 full action of his own. The standard action granted by this Prayer does not count as the characters’ turn.
Protection from death
Level: 8 Components: V Casting Time: 1 immediate action Range: Close (25 ft. + 5 ft./2 levels) Effect: Dying creature. Duration: see text Saving Throw: Will negates (harmless) Spell Resistance: Yes (harmless) The target of this prayer is rendered unable to die for a short period of time. Until the end of the Apostle’s next action no amount of damage can kill the target or render him unconscious. The target should continue to track his hit points even after they are reduced bellow -10, at the end of the Apostle’s turn he has the option to immediately use this prayer again to extend the duration by 1 round. If he fails to do so then the full impact of the targets injuries take immediate effect. Whilst under the effect of Protection from death any effect that would under normal circumstances render the target dead instead sets his hit points to -10 (or deals an additional 50 points of damage if the target has already reached -10). This Prayer cannot be used to prolong the targets life for more than 3 + targets con bonus in rounds (minimum 1 round). This spell ends immediately with no adverse effect if the targets hitpoint total becomes a positive number.
Revelation Level: 8 Components: V Casting Time: 1 minute Range: Self Duration: 24 Hours or until discharged Saving Throw: No Spell Resistance: No The Apostle closes his eyes and whispers a prayer, asking for guidance and protection. Over the next minute the Apostle’s, Patron grants him a vision of what is to come. The vision is jumbled and difficult to understand but depicts events that will take place within the next day. This spell functions as the Moment of Prescience spell except as noted above.

Truth Level: 8 Components: V Casting Time: 1 standard action Range: Personal Duration: 24 hours Saving Throw: no Spell Resistance: no As per the True Seeing spell but with a 30ft range. The Apostle is also able to detect lies as the Discern Lies spell.
Vile Death [Evil] Level: 8 Components: V, S, XP Casting Time: 1 standard action Range: Touch Effect: Undead Creature touched Duration: Instantaneous Saving Throw: no Spell Resistance: no The Apostle imbues an undead creature with Demonic power. The Apostle touches an undead creature and channels the power of the twice fallen angels granting the creature their foul power. The undead creature touched immediately gains the fiendish template. This spell does not grant the Apostle any measure of control over the undead, but any controlled undead is still controlled after casting Vile Death. XP cost, 100 If the Apostle has the Undead Totem feat or is himself undead then he also gain the fiendish template when in an undead form. (this is an automatic effect and has no XP cost).

Combust [SMITE] Prerequisite: Smite Fire, Smite 1 dice. Benefit: After successfully hitting an opponent with a fire based smite you may use an immediate action to force the target to make a reflex safe or be set on fire. This is a super natural ability, the save DC is charisma based.
Extra Prayer [GENERAL] Prerequisite: Breviary class features. Benefit: You may select 1 additional Prayer subject to the following condition. The Prayer must be of a lesser type than the most powerful prayer type you have access to. Special: You may purchase this feat multiple times, each time you may select 1 additional Prayer.
Eldritch Smite [Smite] Prerequisite: Smite 2 dice, Eldritch blast 2D6. Benefit: As a full round action you may smite as part of an Eldritch blast. The Blast may use any blast shape and essence as normal, but any target struck by the blast also takes smite damage.
Freeze [SMITE] Prerequisite: Smite Cold, Smite 2 dice. Benefit: After successfully hitting an opponent with a Cold based smite you may use an immediate action to freeze the target. The target must make a Will save or be slowed for 1 round. This is a super natural ability, the save DC is charisma based.
Rapid Smite [SMITE] Prerequisite: Smite 3 dice, Spring Attack or shot on the run. Benefit: When making a spring attack or Shot on the run you may substitute a single Smite in place of any attacks. Normal: Smite is a standard action and so cannot be used as part of a spring attack or shot on the run. Special: This feat may not be used with any feat or class feature that allows multiple attacks as part of a spring attack or shot on the run.
Ready Defence [GENERAL] Prerequisite: The ability to use an immediate action. Benefit: You may use a standard action to ready an immediate or swift action. Normal: Without this feat you may only ready a move, standard or free action.
Shatter [SMITE] Prerequisite: Smite Sonic, Smite 2 dice. Benefit: After successfully hitting an inanimate object or construct with a Sonic based smite (but before rolling damage) you may use an immediate action to try and shatter the target. The attack ignores all damage reduction, energy resistance or hardness.
Sunder Un-Life [SMITE] Prerequisite: Smite Positive energy, Smite 3 dice. Benefit: When making an attack vs. an undead target with a Positive energy based smite, if the attack roll is enough that it would normally result in a critical hit (including the roll to confirm the critical) then you may use an immediate action to try and destroy the undead. An undead creature with no Int score is automatically destroyed, undead with an Int score may make a Will save to avoid the effect. This is a super natural ability, the save DC is charisma based.
Undead Totem [Prayer] Prerequisite: Knowledge religion 8 ranks, Prayers class ability, Alignment; any none good. Benefit: When selecting a Totem animal you may select either a skeletal or zombie version of the creature. Special: This feat must be selected at the same time or before the Apostle learns the Animal Totem or Greater Animal Totem Prayer. Once this feat has been taken all Animal Totems must be either a skeletal or zombie version.
Extra True Prayer [Epic] Prerequisite: Prayers class features, ability to cast true prayers. Benefit: You may select 1 additional Prayer of any type up to and including a True prayer. Special: You may purchase this feat multiple times, each time you may select 1 additional Prayer.
Improved Smite [Epic] Prerequisite: Smite 7 dice. Benefit: You deal 1 extra dice of smite damage. Special: You may purchase this feat multiple times, each time you may deal 1 extra dice of smite damage. You may not have more bonus dice from this feat that regular dice of smite damage.
