[edit] Angel (Malakhim)
This humanoid looking creature is fair and has stark features, unearthly beauty and a tall body that he or she might choose to hide from view. Eyes look as though they see through you, a piercing teal or blue that warms the heart and calms the mind.
Angels, also known as the Malakhim (meaning messengers or angels), are the lowest order of the angels, and the most familiar to men. They are the ones most concerned with the affairs of living things. Within the category of angels, there are different kinds, with different functions. The angels are sent as messengers to men. Angels can extrude their wings from their bodies (and make them disappear) at will. An angel stands about 6 feet tall and weighs around 160 pounds.
[edit] Combat
Angels are capable warriors, spellweavers, scouts and diplomats, with strong convictions, preferring to focus wholeheartedly upon their foe or their missionin order to spare the innocent from collateral damage. They often sidle through the world of the living, disguising themselves as humans or elves. Angels are the lowest rank within the celestial hierarchy, and have effective rank 1 as a true celestial.
Divine Aura (Su): An angel's divine aura functions like a globe of invulnerability, making the angel immune to all spells of level 1 or lower that allow spell resistance.
Exalted Touch (Su): An angel may designate any number of good aligned creatures within a distance of 20 feet from him. Against attacks made or effects created by evil creatures, this ability provides these selected creatures with a +4 deflection bonus to Armor Class and a +4 resistance bonus on saving throws. Otherwise, it functions as a magic circle against evil effect and a lesser globe of invulnerability, both with an effective radius equal to the effect radius of their exalted touch ability. Any associated save DCs are Charisma based.
Holy Smite (Su): An angel can smite its foes. This works as a holy smite spell with an effective caster level of 2, although it is centered upon one creature and the effect is charged into a weapon (either natural or manufactured). There is no save for half damage. An angel may use its holy smite ability 6 times per day.
Tongues (Su): An angel can speak with any creature that has a language, as though using a tongues spell (caster level 6th). This ability is always active.
Turn Undead (Su): An angel can turn undead like a cleric, gaining a +1 bonus to all turning checks from his true celestial rank.
Spell-Like Abilities: At will—detect evil, detect magic, detect thoughts. 1/day—sending.
Spells: Angels cast spells as a 5th level cleric, have (5/4/3/2) spell slots and may choose any two domains from the Community, Good, Healing and Sun domains. The base DC for an angel's cleric spell is 13 + spell level.
