Geographic Area[edit]

Ajmer sits on the eastern bank of the Flat River at the beginning of the Great Plains of Leander. On a dirt packed road heading south east is Gruw-kumsh'own near the Dwagoold Mountains. On a dirt packed road heading to the west is Bane's Fortress. Down the river is the Capitol Taur'res.

Imports, Exports, and Resources[edit]

Ajmer has abundant natural resources. Ajmer trades with Taur’res various livestock, cattle, sheep sent down on the Flat River. Taur’res trades hard-gray-stone, silver, and horses and passes resources on from Jodpur, Washim, Solapur, and Guntur.

History[edit]

In 202 C.E., the Human fighter Shawn Armorer the Adventurer of Mountains founds the City of Ajmer. In 246 C.E., the Hall of Battle and Fate is completed and dedicated to the Goddess Cheimon, the Minor Goddess of Winter and Death. In 263 C.E., Hope Castle is completed for King Ajmer Blood. In 294 C.E., the castles Ring Wall and Catapult Towers are completed. In 327 C.E., Shaelong subjugates the Human city of Ajmer under his authority. First public appearance of the twelve Grand Wizards who serve Shaelong.

Government[edit]

The King of Ajmer is Tiefling fighter Anselm the Black Fisted. The King has two palaces, one in Taur'res and one in Ajmer. The king's palace in Ajmer is called the Throne Home. Within his court is Duke Regan Thatcher, Duke Varden Franetile, Baron Aled Bloander, Baron Klondor Rashon, Baron Yale Tandard, and Baron Craddock Wudden.

Regan Thatcher the Powerful, a Human warden, is Duke of Ronat Keep. He is accountable to King Anselm of Ajmer. Ronat Keep is the castle of Duke Regan Thatcher. The castle is a stone fortress with Barbican and Demi-Culverin Towers.

Aled Bloander is the Baron of Hope. He is accountable to Duke Regan Thatcher and King Anselm of Ajmer. Hope Castle is the keep of Baron Aled Bloander. The castle is a stone fortification with Ring Wall and Catapult Towers.

Klondor Rashon is the Baron of Dragon’s Hoard. He is accountable to Duke Regan Thatcher and King Anselm of Ajmer. Dragon’s Hoard is the keep of Baron Klondor Rashon. The castle is a stone fortification with Curtain Wall and Ballista Towers.

Varden Frametile, a Tiefling warlord, is Duke of Penarddun. He is accountable to King Anselm of Ajmer. Penarddun Castle is the keep of Duke Varden Frametile. The castle is a stone fortress with Demi-Culverin Towers.

Yale Tandard is the Baron of Burned Tavern. He is accountable to Duke Varden Frametile and King Anselm of Ajmer. Burned Tavern is the keep of Barnon Yale Tandard. The castle is a stone fortification with Ring Wall and Catapult Towers.

Craddock Wudden is the Baron of Dorinth’s Helm. He is accountable to Duke Varden Frametile and King Anselm of Ajmer. Dorinth’s Helm is the keep of Baron Craddock Wudden. The castle is a stone fortification with Curtain Wall and Ballista Towers.

Culture[edit]

The Empire's culture is a melting pot of minor cultures. Primarily, the Empire is a society based on domination and is centered around the Emperor as a victory cult figure. Dorinth is an Empire dominated by Humans but also incorporating Dragonborn, Tiefling, enslaved Dwarves, Goblins, Orcs, and Lizardfolk.

Fashion is robes of wool with fur cloaks.

Although the basic common language is common, the northern continent has a distinctive accent that is recognizable with a Perception DC 10.

  9. Outside the hard-gray-stone walls of Ajmer are lumber camps, houses, fields and farms of apple orchards and vineyards, wheat, corn, oats, and barley with various livestock.

Guilds and Brotherhoods: There are several international organizations that transcend culture and race. The international organizations are very loosely organized. Merchant Guild is an international organization of buyers and seller whose symbol is a stack of coins. Librarian Guild is an international organization of book lovers and organizers (librarians) whose symbol is an open book with a colorful rainbow. Scribe Guild is an international organization of scribes and writers whose symbol is feather pen and unrolled scroll. Thespian Guild of actors, jesters, and bards whose symbol is an Elven ‘Th’ letter. Brotherhood of Smiths is an international organization of metal smith workers whose symbol is two small hammers and an anvil. Brotherhood of Builders is an international organization of stone masons and wood carpenters whose symbol is three straight lines with a vertical tree branch. Brotherhood of Gladiators is an international organization of gladiators whose symbol is a red drop of blood.

Thieves' Guilds: The main thieves' guild is headquartered in Taur'res and has government sponsorship. The main guild is known as The Emperor's Hand. The Emperor's Hand is a thieves' guild, assassin's guild, spy network for Emperor Shaelong, and secret police of the twelve Grand-Wizard Counts.

Wizard Schools: Within the Empire, there are no large organized wizard schools. However, throughout the land are innumerable independent wizard to wizard mentoring and training. Throughout the land are many individual wizard towers who contain powerful wizards and warlocks and their pupils.

Temples and Chapels: The Minor Gods are honored throughout the Empire of Dorinth. Temples exist to Spring Goddess, Summer God, Autumn Goddess, and Winter Goddess. Ajmer is dedicated to the Goddess Cheimon, the Minor Goddess of Winter and Death, and its main temple is named The Hall of Battle and Fate, with 30 clerics. It is a temple, monastery, and library.

Army Special Forces: The military uniform colors are mostly red and white trim with a black capital ‘A’. Each Duke and Baron has his own troops, normally named after the keep in which they serve. The city is patrolled by the Town Militia of 50 men along with 480 soldiers (a Cohorts included 6 centuriae or a total of 480 fighting men).

Ajmer Red Guard of 500 soldiers (a Cohorts included 6 centuriae or a total of 480 fighting men) are light infantry in leather armor and long swords. The Ajmer Red Guard have six Centurions [insignia of four feathers on a copper circle with silver perimeter] and one commanding Legatus Legionis (the overall Legionary commander whose insignia is of an attacking hawk on a gold circle). Legatus Legionis Jake Willowdoor is the leader of the Ajmer Red Guard.

Knight Orders:

Count Disease is one of the twelve Soul-Killer-Grand-Wizard Dukes, who are part of the Council of Victory that advices the Emperor. Each of the twelve Grand Wizard Dukes has its own Knight Order (available to heavy-armored cavalry, paladins, fighters, warlords). Each Knight Order is a cult of victory, so that, the most victorious fighter is head of the Knight Order and leadership is determined through trial-by-combat. This Count’s Knight Order is the Boomslang. Boomslang Tower is the home and fortress of the Count and headquarters of his Knight Order. Sckot Flake, a Tiefling warlord, is the Blood Champion and the head of Knight Order.
