The AP3 is one of the first robots created by Tribal Technologies that uses an animal as its frame design. After the popularity of the FangX, TT quickly generated more models of the same theme. The AP3 is modeled after a Gorilla, and behaves very similar to one. Obeying vocal commands from the owner, these robots are also able to behave by themselves and in tandem with other AP3 models.
AP3s are actually designed to favor their rifles over melee combat, and thus will tend to stay at a range of 40-60 ft. and pin down opponents. The AP3 will only enter melee combat if confronted with an enemy within range. When making a melee attack against such an opponent, as a full round action the AP3 will both fire upon and claw at the enemy.
