== Tavern, yes ==

I would like to first start off by saying that I haven't been able to contribute to the site much because of school. I'll try to add some feats or races when I get the chance.

I was wondering if you or possibly another admin could "standardize" a tavern day. The idea would be like twice a month, everyone that can, gets together at the tavern and talks. The admins could address any changes to the site and we'd more or less do what we did the day that guy was nominated for adminship.
I figure a day or two every month is a cool thing to look forward to and many people would show up. It could really make the tavern a cooler and more fun place.

Send me a message on what you think about this idea. If you need any help on implementing it (or any help at all) I'll see what I can do.

Thanks for taking the time to read this otherwise crappy request.
== Where do I put this? ==

Okay, I've got some stuff to put it. It isn't my own creation, but I will give credit and it's open-source by the writers' own admission. It's a series of article which detail things which don't really work as written in the standard DnD rules. The articles deal with, in this order:

Necromancy (Tome of Necromancy), Fiendishness/Evil (Tome of Fiends) , Races, social structure, dungeons, and other things (Dungeonomicon), Combat-based classes and feats (Races of War)

Frank and K's work can be a little out there, but they'll make you think.

The difficulty, though, arises from the Tomes having such a broad range. Each one includes classes people would actually care about, flavor material, and analysis of how things work.

Since you're in charge, I feel I wouldn't want to put a foot wrong here, so I'll wait for your decision about where these go or even if they should go up. Here's the links. They're best read in order. [http://www.tgdmb.com/viewtopic.php?t=34248 Tome of Necromancy], [http://www.tgdmb.com/viewtopic.php?t=28828 Tome of Fiends], [http://www.tgdmb.com/viewtopic.php?t=28547 Dungeonomicon], [http://www.tgdmb.com/viewtopic.php?t=33294 Races of War]. --[[User:Genowhirl|Genowhirl]] 12:16, 1 May 2008 (MDT)

:If they have been formally published the correct way to add them would be to create a publication entry which outlines the ToC of the book as well as the material present within the aforementioned book. If they have not been formally published the correct way to add them would be to create a outline of the book in [[DnD Other|Other]] and then link to the PrC's, Spells, ect that are present in the book from that page. Either way the new content the book brings into D&D should be added to it's specific area. For example new PrC's should be added to [[DnD Classes]]. New spells to [[DnD Complex Special Ability Components|Complex Special Ability Components]], etc etc. Hope this helps. --[[User:Green Dragon|Green Dragon]] 13:02, 1 May 2008 (MDT)

::I got the Tome of Necromancy up. It would have been easier had I not had to learn wiki formatting as I went. I'll eventually work on formatting the classes with actual ability tables and everything, but that'll take plenty of referencing back to the SRD and the like.[[User:Genowhirl|Genowhirl]] 16:32, 1 May 2008 (MDT)

:A good place for links to different character sheets would be at [[DnD Links|links]]. Unfortunately it is locked to non-admin edts, so you would have to start a discussion on it's talk page. Hope this helps. --[[User:Green Dragon|Green Dragon]] 22:02, 3 May 2008 (MDT)
HI! I'm not really mad that my discussion got deleted, i kinda thought it just might. I was just wondering for future reference what can and shouldn't be put into the discussion board, so that doesn't happen again. So just let me know please, thank you, so much, and also, i think the community you've created is a very fine and respectable community, and I'm very glad I'm a part of it. [[User:Summerscythe|Summerscythe]] 13:24, 4 May 2008 (MDT)

:I deleted it because I felt it more tried to advertise your creations rather than prompt a discussion about maneuverability. I can restore the discussion if you are so inclined, or you could re-write it so it is more geared towards a discussion about physics and maneuverability in D&D. Either way works for me. Also, I really should have used [[Template:Delete]] rather than just delete it. Sorry about that. --[[User:Green Dragon|Green Dragon]] 13:53, 4 May 2008 (MDT)
== Monk Performance Skills ==

I wasn't sure if there was a way to include these, but some of my players were complaining that rogues getting major benefits out of skill tricks was kind of unfair in the other players eyes. Granted, yes everyone can use skill tricks if you meet the prereq's, but a monk player made a good point to me. Why not give them something with skill tricks, but play it off differently. Well I thought, what would increase a monks skill, but at the same time be fair and compatible for gameplay. So I threw around the ideas for a performance skill to hone their abilities with fighting styles. Thus I made a bunch of performance skills, (Monk Performance Skills being at the top of the list), making it to where they could only choose one though so they didn't become too overpowered. Not only could they use these performance skills to show off at exhibitions and monastaries, but it would also increase there abilities to some extent just by taking ranks in it. However, I told them they could choose only one because of the substantial benefits they give. They are like skill tricks to a certain extent, but then again its more limited and the decision they make at first level is the one their stuck with. I'm not sure, but I hope that there is a way I can include these in a category of their own. I'm not too great with computers, but I'd love to incorporate this on D&D Wiki in a section much like the Monk Fighting Styles (but hopefully on their own to avoid confusion). {{Unsigned|Taedom|09:32, 5 May 2008 (MDT)}}

:Okay. I would start by making a [[DnD Rules|variant rule]] explaining monk performance skills. Once that is done I would be more than willing to either add a new section to [[DnD Character Options|character options]] or to split the current [[DnD Monk Fighting Styles|monk fighting styles]] into multiple sections. Let me know which you would prefer. --[[User:Green Dragon|Green Dragon]] 00:23, 6 May 2008 (MDT)
== Page screwup ==

Sorry to disturb you, but I am new with wikis, computer code, and D&D. I have posted my campaign location, [[Simiran]], along with many races, monsters, etc. However, as I have learned more about D&D Wiki, I have noticed many things wrong with my setup, and though I have tried to fix them, I am not sure whether I have recitifed them correctly or not, and do not wish to procede incorrectly. Could you please look at my pages and sort them out, or atleast message me how? It would be greatly appreciated, and I am sincerely sorry if it takes some time.

Thanks,
== Wiki Typo on "Reading Creature Entry" Page ==

Hi, newbie here...

In the <nowiki>SRD:Reading Creature Entries</nowiki> page, there are two incorrectly wiki-formatted lines:
<nowiki>
{{SRD:Armor [[SRD:Class|Class]] (Creature Statistic)}}
{{SRD:Base Attack/[[SRD:Grapple|Grapple]] (Creature Statistic)}}
</nowiki>

These should probably read:
<nowiki>
{{SRD:Armor Class (Creature Statistic)}}
{{SRD:Base Attack/Grapple (Creature Statistic)}}
== Attacks of opportunity ==

I'm slightly confused with the process of attacks of opportunity involving moving from one threatened square of an opponent to another.

For example, if an enemy is wielding a spiked chain, therefore threatening a 10ft radius, if a player were to enter the 10ft radius I realize that this does not provoke an attack of opportunity. However, if you were to move another 5ft in the same turn towards the opponent, would this provoke an attack of opportunity from moving from one threatened square to another threatened square? also, if you were also to move still inside that 10ft radius of threatened squares, even if it's not towards the opponent does this also provoke an attack of opportunity?

enlightenment would be appreciated
== Level UP! ==

Hi there,

Thanks for the welcome! Since you so kindly provided me a link with which to ask a question, I thought it only polite to oblige you ;)

I think I spotted a mistake in a listed character build (Protected Casting) but mentioned it on the talk page of the article rather than edit it because I'm unsure on one point that I hope you might be able to clear up for me. When levelling up, in what order is it done? The reason I ask is that the mentioned build uses Sorc4/Fighter1 and then takes the PrC Spellsword at level 6. However, Spellsword requires a BAB of +4 or greater, and Sorc4/Fighter1 gives only +3. The reason I ask for the order of levelling is that if feats, BAB, etc is added first, then you could say the character qualifies to take Spellsword at level 6 as it gives +1 BAB. In my groups however we've always picked class FIRST, and things like a prerequisite BAB bonus had to be filled before taking said class. Is this the conventional wisdom?

Ordinarily I'd just assume the author of the build made a mistake, but I know of one other build (Dagger Specialist) that had a similar mistake whereby the builder took a prerequisite feat upon gaining the first level of the PrC. I already edited that one before I register mentioning that I thought you had to take feats before picking the class, but I thought it best to check that it IS convention before going ahead and doing it again!

Once again thanks for the welcome and your time, and I hope my small contributions can be of some benefit over the coming millenia - [[User:Neonin|Neonin]] 12:15, 1 July 2008 (MDT)

== 4e Powers ==

There seem to be a few formatting errors on the pages for the SRD 4e Powers. I suggest taking a look at them so you can determine exactly what you need to do, but the main one I've noticed happened to be one of the lines missing the category= line. This has resulted in those pages not displaying any of the information they should. --[[User:Taritus|Taritus]] 09:21, 24 July 2008 (MDT)

:I am a little confused. First off no SRD 4e powers are present on D&D Wiki as the SRD has yet to be freely released for 4e. Also, category= needs to be present in dpl's as it will not work without it. This defines the parameter. I am currently in the process of splitting material like prestige classes out of four very long articles ([[Tome of Necromancy (DnD Other)]], [[Tome of Fiends (DnD Other)]], [[Dungeonomicon (DnD Other)]], [[Races of War (DnD Other)]]) into their own articles, for easier digestion and use/reference by people. Unfortunately, while doing so, I've run into a couple of namespace conflicts. I'm worried about more namespace conflicts and namespace pollution in the future; so I was wondering if instead of, say, (DnD Prestige Class) appended onto prestige classes, I could use something like (Tome Prestige Class) as people often call those four works "The Tomes".

I am given to understand that there are scripts that automagically add prestige classes to the list of homebrew prestige classes when new prestige classes are made. I am also given to understand that this only works with the (DnD Prestige Class) namespace. Is my understanding correct? If I can use the new namespace, is it okay for me to edit those articles by hand to add the prestige classes in at the correct points? (Or could the scripts be extended to the Tome namespace, if such is allowed?)

Thanks! [[User:Surgo|Surgo]] 18:36, 8 September 2008 (MDT)
== Epic-only PrC Templates ==

I noticed recently that there aren't preloads or categories for prestige classes with epic level requirements, as I'm have little skill at making them, I wondered if you might do the honors? Here's one that can be added: [[Thlatian Bladelord (DnD Prestige Class)]]. Thanks!-[[User:Risek|Risek]] 11:15, 10 September 2008 (MDT)

== Modern's Future? ==

I hope you are right one to ask, since the d20 Modern fellow is away.

Well I have a rather serious question concerning d20 Modern and well…err let me get to the point.

Since d20 Modern is out of print and majority of the material is hard to come by shouldn’t the rest of the material be placed in the Modern section. The reason for concern is that there’s is a good chance that Hasbro will try to completely kill-off Modern and well since I love Modern I was simply wondering whether the remaining material will be added or not.

I mean, from what I can tell 2nd Edition players generally have the complete material for use online and so I thought that Modern should as well.

Gah! hope I said what I meant to say.
== Tavern, yes ==

== Where do I put this? ==

== Monk Performance Skills ==

I wasn't sure if there was a way to include these, but some of my players were complaining that rogues getting major benefits out of skill tricks was kind of unfair in the other players eyes. Granted, yes everyone can use skill tricks if you meet the prereq's, but a monk player made a good point to me. Why not give them something with skill tricks, but play it off differently. Well I thought, what would increase a monks skill, but at the same time be fair and compatible for gameplay. So I threw around the ideas for a performance skill to hone their abilities with fighting styles. Thus I made a bunch of performance skills, (Monk Performance Skills being at the top of the list), making it to where they could only choose one though so they didn't become too overpowered. Not only could they use these performance skills to show off at exhibitions and monastaries, but it would also increase there abilities to some extent just by taking ranks in it. However, I told them they could choose only one because of the substantial benefits they give. They are like skill tricks to a certain extent, but then again its more limited and the decision they make at first level is the one their stuck with. I'm not sure, but I hope that there is a way I can include these in a category of their own. I'm not too great with computers, but I'd love to incorporate this on D&D Wiki in a section much like the Monk Fighting Styles (but hopefully on their own to avoid confusion). {{Unsigned|Taedom|09:32, 5 May 2008 (MDT)}}

== Attacks of opportunity ==

== Level UP! ==

== 4e Powers ==

I have converted a few 3.x Monsters, that were not presented in the new MM, into 4e versions. Is it alright to post them on the Wiki? -- [[User:Sepsis|Sepsis]] 22:16, 26 August 2008 (MDT)
hello :)

i believe that my paragon class for the wizard is no good and would like it for you to take it off please! :)

the reason for this is that i think that the aim of the paragon tier is not for such a big change on the base class.[[User:Dokuro|Dokuro]]

So this is Mander. About a year ago I got realy involved with the wiki, and have since been less involved. Im looking to be more involved again. I was wondering, is there a forum like section on this webpage where I could start a topic or two for disscussion? Also I have more to add to this wiki, but I seem to be starting over on my wiki skills. In a sence im looking for a wiki mentor. im sure I had other questions, im just forgeting them right now.
I don't suppose you could check over the [[Elementalist (DnD Prestige Class)|Elementalist]] prestige class, and [[Arcane Leadership (DnD Feat)|Arcane Leadership]], [[Ascetic Leadership (DnD Feat)|Ascetic Leadership]], [[Divine Leadership (DnD Feat)|Divine Leadership]], [[Martial Leadership (DnD Feat)|Martial Leadership]] and [[Wild Leadership (DnD Feat)|Wild Leadership]] feats? The leadership feats were inspired by Undead Leadership from Libris Mortis, so they follow the same basic idea - is that okay OGL-wise? --[[User:Damuna|Damuna]] 19:18, 6 September 2008 (MDT)
== Namespace addition ==

Hi Green_Dragon!

== Epic-only PrC Templates ==

== Modern's Future? ==
